Junior Software Engineer - Columbus, Ohio (this is not a remote position)

Overview*This is not a remote position, will be at our Piada Support Center Monday through Friday with normal business hours. *Must live in Columbus, Ohio or surrounding area. The Technology team champions a culture of service for our guests and our teams by providing genuine hospitality and implementing technology to complement Piada's mission and values.The Junior Software Engineer role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving Piada's company sites, internal analytics dashboard, and point-of-sale systems with the goal of enhancing our technical infrastructure to better serve our guests and teams. This role is also responsible for maintaining menu management systems, managing third-party applications, assisting stores with point-of-sale issues, and partnering with internal teams to use technology to solve business problems. You will also be the primary point of contact for guests seeking help with online orders, gift cards, Piada Rewards, and other inquiries or concerns they may have. The ideal candidate for this role will embody and demonstrate Piada's core values, have a passion for development and guest experience, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate with various cross-functional teams within the organization. We continuously push the boundaries of innovation and are looking for someone who's excited to help us stay at the leading edge of the industry and our peers.ResponsibilitiesPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for the development and maintenance of online, mobile, and internal software platformsCollaborates with Marketing to create new content on mypiada.comCollaborates with other departments to develop solutions to business problems, including creating integrations between existing platformsManages user accounts in cloud-based softwareMaintains, updates, and creates menu items as menu changesSupports stores with point-of-sale issuesAnswers guest questions regarding online ordering, gift cards, Piada Rewards, and other questions/concerns that are sent to the Technology-managed email addresses.Provides timelines and roadmaps for development projects and technology initiativesOther duties as assigned, as opportunities and challenges arise Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CS, Computer Science and Engineering, CSE, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical certification2 years of experience in full-stack development, with preferences for:Ruby on RailsJavaScriptHTML/CSSC#Linux server maintenanceUnderstanding of user-experience theories and conceptsAbility to take business requirements and translate them into technology solutionsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasksHigh attention to detailNight and weekend availability to assist stores with menu availability and troubleshooting, menu launches, and software deploymentsWe will give you the tools, ingredients and training you need to thrive and build a successful career!The preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by Team Members within this classification.
