SUMMARY Proficio is offering an internship opportunity to support or Operational Excellence team with Power BI reporting project. The internship will focus on three areas of Power BI: visualizations, integrations, and documentation/training. Work will include enhancements and updates to our visualizations and will focus on both existing integrations and expanding integrations to bring additional data feeds into our reports. Once our environment is current, complete documentation on our Power BI environment including full training and maintenance manuals will be created for future use by our staff. This is an excellent opportunity to take classroom training and projects and apply the knowledge learned to real world business applications!

Responsibilities

• Review existing Power BI environment for correct visualizations making adjustments and adaptations from our task list.
• Review and fix existing integrations from sources such as Salesforce, ServiceNOW, and Excel. Adjusting existing integrations away from user specific to open integrations.
• Add new integrations from our task list.
• Take our existing 3-4 sets of reports and expand to 6+ sets of reports creating both the integrations and visualizations required.
• Administer the Power BI platform including setting permissions for access.
• Create full documentation on the Power BI platform including user manuals for adding, changing, and modifying additional report sets or integrations.
• Train selected staff on upgraded Power BI set up at end of internship.

Requirements

• College level coursework on the Power BI tool including specific project work related to adding integrations, administering the tool, and updating visualizations
• Ability to communicate with multiple teams and individuals to gather accurate work data and execute work according to our task list specifications
• Project management coursework and/or experience to enable you to self-direct efforts and project progress
• Written communication skills applicable to technical documentation and training manuals
