Job Title Intramural Summer Camp Counselor Department Intramurals, Club Sports and Summer Camps JM Worker Type Student (Fixed Term) Pay Information For hourly student pay rates, please visit the Student Job Classification page on the Office of Human Resources website. For salaried student positions, contact the department for pay information. Duration of Appointment This job is for the last two weeks of May and all of June and July. Maximum Scheduled Weekly Hours 1 Job Description Summary Plan and implement age appropriate or modified activities. Promote a safe and healthy environment. Lead groups from one activity to another in a timely manner. Assist instructors in maintaining order during activities. Supervise locker room before and after swimming. Administer discipline according to camp policies. Assist in providing CPR and/or first aid in the event of injury. Model good sportsmanship in related activities. Use appropriate language and actions. Express emotions in a constructive manner. Relay information between counselors, campers, pro staff, and parents. Complete daily report and related forms. Make decisions when the camp director or assistant director is not present. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Current American Red Cross CPR & First Aid for the Professional Rescuer. Or obtained within 30 days of hire Pass a State of Ohio Fingerprint Background check Belay Certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
