  • Musical expertise and experience, both vocal and instrumental, that fits with our music style.
  • Proficiency in creating music with Multitracks and other software tools.
  • Know how to “feel a room” and create powerful moments.
  • Ability to lead production teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Can build a team like nobody’s business!

Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Lead and develop Worship and Production staff effectively lead and grow their teams.
  • Central Staff
  • Location Worship and Production Directors
  • Provide leadership and direction for Epic Worship and Production teams in a variety of in-person and online experiences: weekly services, worship nights, special events, recordings, original music, music videos, etc.
  • Establish processes and systems that equip team members to create consistently high-quality, engaging experiences.
  • Select songs, create and write original music, and develop our worship sound and future.

Team Building

  • Build a band with a healthy rotation at each location. Our bands should always include: Lead vocalists, BGVs, drums, bass, keys, and electric or acoustic guitar.
  • Build a well-trained production team for each location.
  • Develop a pool of high-quality audio engineers who understand our sound and systems.
  • Train team members and create opportunities for them to develop skills and standards.
  • Recruit, audition, onboard, develop, celebrate. Repeat.
  • Create opportunities for team building, community, spiritual growth, and celebration.

Service Planning

  • Plan and program services and events in collaboration with other staff and pastors.
  • Oversee preparation and distribution of all music and production media elements, including: music tracks, service plans, Pro-Presenter displays, creative assets, lyrics, etc.
  • Lead evaluation of all services and related events.

Administration and Creative Support

  • Manage processes for scheduling teams, roster updates, onboarding, and training.
  • Oversee the purchase, inventory, standardization, maintenance, and operation of all music and production equipment. Assess current and future needs, create acquisition strategies and put measures in place to ensure all equipment is secured against damage, loss, or theft.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team to ideate series, services, special events, social media, etc.
  • Develop strategic relationships with other creatives around the city.
  • And of course, everyone’s favorite...other duties as assigned!
