Senior Financial Accountant - Remote
About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing explanations. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and provide support for decision-making. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting operations. Maintain a strong understanding of tax regulations and ensure compliance. Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or corporate accounting environment. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards. Experience with financial statement preparation, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly. High level of integrity and attention to detail.
