Pathways is seeking a Rapid IT Stabilization & Process Transformation Consultant, a senior-level technology leader responsible for driving large-scale infrastructure and end-user computing transformations. This role involves assessing current-state systems, defining target-state architectures, and leading execution to optimize enterprise infrastructure and endpoint environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of enterprise IT transformation initiatives across infrastructure and endpoint environments
  • Translate strategic vision into executable roadmaps with clear ownership, sequencing, and trade-off decisions
  • Assess current-state maturity across key domains (endpoint management, infrastructure, service operations) and define baseline vs. target-state roadmaps
  • Define target-state architecture, operating model, and “what good looks like” across performance, security, cost, and user experience
  • Establish clear, opinionated standards across devices, infrastructure, and service delivery
  • Drive adoption of standards across engineering, operations, and vendor partners
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments across compute, networks, storage, cloud platforms, and end-user environments
  • Lead infrastructure modernization efforts, including migrations, upgrades, and performance optimization
  • Oversee enterprise device lifecycle initiatives (refresh programs, imaging, deployment, and endpoint standardization)
  • Stabilize and enhance IT operations to improve service delivery, reliability, and user experience
  • Evaluate and optimize vendor relationships to ensure effective delivery and cost efficiency
  • Establish governance frameworks, milestones, and measurable outcomes to track progress
  • Own delivery against defined success metrics (e.g., device compliance, incident reduction, cost optimization, SLA performance)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business priorities

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Extensive experience leading infrastructure and endpoint transformation initiatives in complex environments
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale IT transformation, particularly in turnaround or high-change situations
  • Deep experience across cloud platforms, on-premises infrastructure, and endpoint management technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically, with a strong focus on execution
  • Advanced degree preferred
