[Remote] Agentic AI Architect & Value Engineer

As an Agentic AI Architect and Value Engineer, you will lead AI technical efforts in strategic sales, designing solutions that address government agencies' challenges and advancing product capabilities. Your role involves collaborating with various teams to deliver impactful AI solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Generate $1,000,000 in pipeline annually leveraging professional network, partnerships and relationships from 10+ years experience in government or public sector technology, to generate demand through targeted outreach initiatives in partnership with AI GTM strategy team and demand generation team to prospect ideal customers
  • Conduct a high volume of AI discovery calls with public sector prospects and existing Granicus customers
  • Partner with BDRs and AEs on early stage discovery, as well as AI Value Engineers on discovery and solutioning phases to compel senior City, County and State leaders to engage in co-development programs with Granicus
  • Own opportunity progression from initial conversation through qualified opportunity; partner with AI Process Analysts on continued opportunity progression
  • Lead discovery to identify high-impact automation opportunities
  • Quantify business outcomes (e.g., time savings, call deflection, cost reduction, staff capacity gains, and improved resident satisfaction)
  • Align AI solutions with agency goals and compliance requirements and pitch highly technical solutions in plain language to executive and strategic government buyers
  • Develop “proof of value” concepts to demonstrate agentic capabilities and achieve desired outcomes
  • Partner with Granicus customers, product and engineering teams to prototype new agentic capabilities grounded in real-world government workflows and constraints
  • Provide structured feedback on frameworks, connectors, agent behaviors, and orchestration logic to improve usability, performance, and compliance
  • Accelerate Granicus offerings by validating prototypes with customers to build clarity on roadmaps and design
  • Influence product and service roadmaps and business models based on real-world implementation patterns, user feedback, and emerging industry trends
  • Validate customer buy-in, commitment to co-innovation and manage expectations to ensure highly effective partnerships
  • Work closely with data scientists and engineers to design and scope end-to-end agentic AI solutions using industry leading agent frameworks
  • Scope, cost and de-risk implementation to speed delivery and value realization
  • Deeply understand key systems of record (e.g., permitting, licensing, GIS, CRM) and integration complexity, then partner with science and engineering to design agentic capabilities to enable seamless data exchange and orchestration
  • Define cross-departmental data flows, security models, and governance frameworks to ensure effective, scalable deployment of AI agents
  • Collaborate with Experience Partners and delivery teams to ensure the value promised in pre-sales is realized post-launch
  • Support testing, tuning, and optimization of AI agents in production
  • Monitor KPIs and recommend enhancements to improve adoption and outcomes

Skills

  • 7+ years in solution architecture, AI engineering, or enterprise consulting
  • Deep experience with agentic AI frameworks (e.g. Bedrock, AgentCore, Microsoft, Vertex, MCP, etc)
  • Strong understanding of government workflows and data governance
