[Remote] Network Inventory GIS Engineer

The Network Inventory GIS Engineer will manage GIS network inventory projects, perform data analysis, and support geospatial data maintenance and development.

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic network inventory data corrections, data analysis, and redlining
  • Performs ticket closure for network inventory related tickets (TIER1)
  • Contributes to network inventory data mapping and data migrations
  • Contributes to network inventory design and feature development (user stories)
  • Performs network inventory system and script testing
  • Performs basic network inventory process analysis and process development
  • Performs small/individual project management, such as tracking project progress, identify and resolve issues, and adjust project plans as necessary
  • Contributes to release notes and features
  • Performs network inventory administration such as user maintenance
  • Contributes to network inventory training and job aid creation
  • Performs geospatial analysis
  • Generates map files (KMZ, Shape)

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in GIS engineering, analysis, or network inventory
  • Strong understanding of GIS concepts, technologies, and tools, including ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and open-source GIS tools
  • Experience with GIS analysis, including spatial analysis, network analysis, and data visualization
  • Familiarity with OSP network inventory systems (3GIS, GE Smallworld, OSPI)
  • Familiarity with CAD software
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
