NU Advisory Partners is leading the search for a Vice President, Global Operations for a market-leading manufacturer of engineered electrical and infrastructure solutions. This role involves owning global operations across a multi-site manufacturing footprint and enabling the company's growth through strategic leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global operations strategy for a growing, technology-driven manufacturing business and define the operational roadmap required to support continued expansion
  • Develop long-range and annual operating plans that enable scalable, flexible manufacturing across a diverse product portfolio
  • Align operational capabilities with commercial objectives, ensuring the organization can meet evolving customer requirements while maintaining service excellence
  • Lead the advancement of manufacturing capabilities across multiple facilities, balancing operational efficiency with customer-specific requirements
  • Drive standardization, process optimization, and scalable manufacturing practices to improve quality, throughput, and responsiveness
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to support new product introductions and enhance manufacturability
  • Own and deliver the annual operating plan, consistently exceeding targets across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory
  • Champion Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times, increase productivity, and improve operational flexibility
  • Implement KPI-driven management systems that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Build a resilient, agile global supply chain capable of supporting growth, demand variability, and evolving customer requirements
  • Develop sourcing strategies that ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and risk mitigation
  • Lead integrated planning processes to align demand, capacity, inventory, and production across the enterprise
  • Develop and manage operating budgets and capital investment plans aligned with strategic growth objectives
  • Drive productivity improvements, cost optimization initiatives, and working capital performance
  • Lead capacity planning and capital deployment efforts to support future growth
  • Build and lead high-performing global teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Develop organizational capability through coaching, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Serve as a key partner to commercial, engineering, finance, and corporate leadership teams
  • Ensure operational readiness for growth initiatives, product launches, and customer commitments
  • Maintain world-class Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) performance across all operations
  • Support sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives consistent with company values and stakeholder expectations

Skills

  • Must have experience in dynamic markets such as data centers, critical power, or mission-critical infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; MBA strongly preferred
  • 12–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in global operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven success leading multi-site, global operations at scale ($1B+), preferably supporting data center, electrical infrastructure, or other high-growth technical markets
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-mix, low-to-medium volume or customized manufacturing environments
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and driving profitability
  • Deep expertise in global supply chain management, manufacturing operations, and logistics
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean methodologies (VSM, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, pull systems, takt time, standard work)
  • Ability to scale operations while balancing customization, speed, and cost efficiency
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
