[Remote] Senior Sales Director – Financial Services (Cards & Payments)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TalentOla is looking for a Senior Sales Director in Financial Services focusing on Cards & Payments. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring and expanding enterprise clients in the cards, payments, and transaction processing ecosystem, with a focus on selling IT services and digital solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow the Cards & Payments sales portfolio, achieving annual and multi-year revenue targets
- Drive new logo acquisition across issuing, acquiring, and payment processing organizations
- Lead complex, consultative sales cycles involving IT services, digital transformation, and platform modernization
- Collaborate with solutioning, delivery, and practice teams to shape compelling value propositions
- Lead proposal development, RFP/RFI responses, pricing, and commercial negotiations
- Present executive-level business cases aligned to client objectives and ROI
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting
- Track market opportunities and competitive landscape within cards and payments
Skills
- 14+ years of progressive experience in IT services sales, with significant experience in Cards & Payments
- Proven track record of selling to banks, card networks, payment processors, or fintechs
- Strong understanding of cards lifecycle (issuing, acquiring, switching, authorization, settlement gateways/orchestration, wallets, real-time payments), and related regulatory frameworks
- Experience selling IT services such as application development, platform modernization, cloud, data, digital, or managed services
- Demonstrated success in closing large, multi-year enterprise deals
- Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Established relationships with major banks, payment processors, or fintech clients
- Familiarity with payment platforms, core banking integrations, and digital payments ecosystems
