Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kake is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of a large-scale consumer mobile application. This role focuses on end-to-end test automation for a React Native app deployed across iOS and Android devices, requiring extensive experience in building mobile automation frameworks and validating complex user journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated end-to-end test suites for iOS and Android applications
  • Develop and execute test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, and release testing
  • Validate application behavior across a wide range of devices, OS versions, and screen sizes
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to identify quality risks and improve test coverage
  • Investigate, reproduce, and document defects, working with developers to drive timely resolution
  • Perform exploratory and manual testing when automation is not the most effective approach
  • Contribute to CI/CD testing workflows and improve overall testing efficiency and reliability
  • Validate complex user experiences, including real-time interactions, in-app purchases, and embedded web content

Skills

  • 5+ years of QA engineering experience, with a strong focus on test automation
  • Proven experience building and maintaining mobile end-to-end automation frameworks for production applications
  • Strong experience testing React Native mobile applications
  • Hands-on experience with mobile automation tools such as Detox, Maestro, Appium, or similar frameworks
  • Experience testing across real devices and cloud device platforms such as BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and quality assurance best practices
  • Experience validating complex user flows across iOS and Android ecosystems
  • Ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and identify root causes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
  • Experience testing real-time, high-concurrency applications
  • Experience validating latency, synchronization, and performance-sensitive user experiences
  • Familiarity with HTML5, WebView, or WebGL-based applications
  • Experience testing in-app purchases, virtual currencies, rewards systems, or digital commerce features
  • Understanding of COPPA, privacy regulations, and compliance-sensitive testing requirements
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
