Wheelhouse 20/20 is a full-service marketing agency based in Beaverton, Oregon, seeking a Senior Director of Digital Operations to lead their digital execution and marketing technology teams. This hands-on leadership role focuses on overseeing digital performance, managing campaign operations, and developing a high-performing team to ensure client success and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee digital performance across all active client accounts
  • Report up to executive management on overall performance of accounts
  • Ensure client KPIs, campaign goals, and performance metrics are consistently monitored and communicated
  • Develop and maintain a proactive reporting cadence for both internal stakeholders and clients
  • Surface opportunities, trends, and risks before they become problems
  • Manage digital budget pacing, allocation, and performance monitoring across client portfolios
  • Create regular digital landscape updates covering platform changes, industry trends, algorithm updates, AI developments, and emerging opportunities
  • Support team who owns data accuracy and integrity across all marketing platforms and reporting systems
  • Manage team who build, document, and improve scalable operating procedures for digital execution and reporting
  • Manage team who oversee CRM integrations, marketing automation platforms, tracking systems, attribution tools, and analytics infrastructure
  • Lead implementations that automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency based on strategic goals and plans from executive team
  • Manage the team and lead the implementation, and manage new marketing technologies that improve performance or team productivity
  • Ensure tracking, attribution, reporting, and lead flow systems are functioning properly across all client programs
  • Lead, mentor, and develop digital marketing, paid media, lead generation, and marketing technology team members
  • Provide hands-on coaching and training on platforms, best practices, workflows, and performance improvement
  • Manage the organizational accountability and operational discipline across the team
  • Identify staffing, skill, and capacity gaps and proactively recommend solutions
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, documentation, and process adherence
  • Build systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across client programs
  • Ensure teams follow established workflows, briefs, SOPs, and quality assurance processes
  • Continuously evaluate agency operations to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop documentation that is practical, useful, and consistently adopted by the team
  • Create repeatable frameworks that improve execution quality and client outcomes

Skills

  • 15+ years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, marketing technology, or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and reporting up to the leadership/executive team
  • Strong agency experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
  • Proven success overseeing digital advertising, lead generation, marketing automation, and reporting operations
  • Experience building, managing and scaling operational processes within a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and digital advertising platforms
  • Data background to understand data lake and data warehouse
  • Deep understanding of marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo, or Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of analytics, attribution, conversion tracking, GA4, Tag Manager, CRM integrations, and reporting systems
  • Experience with workflow automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies that improve marketing performance and operational efficiency
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills
